Community Service In The Dirt Road Republic

It was great to be in service with our friends, neighbors and community this past Saturday!  Many hands made for light work as we cleaned up an area of our neighborhood that had become overgrown with weeds and filled with trash.

Roughly 20 people came together to clear the area out, lay down garden matting and replace those weeds with Florida-native plants.

Aside from doing some good in the neighborhood, it was a great opportunity to meet new people and have some great conversations while we worked.

We even managed to get our daughter out there working a shovel and wheelbarrow!

Thanks to the Old Southeast Neighborhood Association and Keep Pinellas Beautiful for organizing the event and providing some tools.  The coffee and donuts were nice treat too!

Now that's what we call livin' in the Dirt Road Republic!
